Downloading and installing the Mellosoftron is as easy as 1-2-3!

1 Download the self-extracting ZIP archive ml34.exe (1 913 856 bytes).

Alternate download locations: Simtel (worldwide)
2 Execute it.
3 Once you are done installing, you can delete the archive.

If you prefer a plain ZIP archive...

1 Download the ZIP archive ml34.zip (1 828 447 bytes) into an empty, temporary directory (NOT the installation directory).

Alternate download locations: WinSite (USA) | Relcom HTTP (Russia) | Relcom FTP (Russia)
2 Unzip it.
3 Run SETUP.EXE. Once you are done installing, you can delete all files in the temporary directory.

...and don't forget to grab this free stuff too!

mdlbk251.zip 37 kB In order to control the Mellosoftron from other programs running on the same system (like the Media Player or a MIDI sequencer) you need a virtual MIDI port through which they can communicate.

Hubi's MIDI Loopback Device is a virtual MIDI port for Windows 9x created by Hubert Winkler.

After downloading, unzip the archive into an empty temporary directory and follow the instructions in the file midlpbk.txt.

MIDI Yoke 29 kB Created by Jamie O'Connell, MIDI Yoke is another virtual MIDI port which also works with Windows NT and 2000 and has its own web site.
cs1x.zip 1.0 MB A set of 18 PRGs (0.PRG through 17.PRG) using 19 WAVs from the Blue One.
tr909.zip 769 kB George Vulgarakis (eurocent@otenet.gr) in Greece had barely gotten his hands on the Mellosoftron II before he created this TR-909 drum set for your Techno-making pleasure!
jx8p.zip 575 kB 16 patches based on the JX8P samples by Cobra.
